ABOUT ME

Clarissa Garza, LMHC-A

I firmly agree with what somatic psychotherapist Dr. Arielle Schwartz once affirmed: "The number one evidence for healing is the therapeutic alliance." I believe that therapy is not just about treating a diagnosis — it’s about creating a compassionate, attuned space where your full humanity is welcomed. As Gabor Maté wisely said, healing isn’t about eliminating pain, but expanding our capacity to be resilient with it. I deeply care and specialize in working with C-PTSD, anxiety, and depression, and I approach each session with empathy, curiosity, and respect. My approach is geared toward helping you feel seen, heard, and empowered; Be Here Now.

I am Trauma-Trained and use holistic, creative, and evidence-based modalities with both individual and cultural identities in mind. I specialize in DBT/CBT (Mindfulness/Emotional Processing/Behavioral Adaptations), Existential Therapy, SFT (Solution/Strengths focused therapy), Psychodynamic Therapy, Trauma/ Social Justice Informed Therapy, Somatic Therapy (Movement, Yoga, Breathwork), and Holistic Wellness. C/PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and Personality Disorders are focus areas of study and research in my graduate years and clinical practicum.

I support and respect LGBTQIA+ communities, people, and spaces, while accepting and attuning with all frequencies, stages and pathways of life. Understanding the Self is no easy venture, but together we explore and plant seeds of realism, acceptance, and transformation in our gardens.

One step at a time. Together we are a team. #HolisticHealth
